Site 2: 1000 Islands Environmental Center, 1000 Beaulieu Ct, Kaukauna
The 1000 Islands Environmental Center is a great spot to view eagles out on the islands within the Conservancy Zone. The islands serve as a popular roosting area for eagles and open waters throughout the year provide ample feeding areas. Although viewing opportunities exist throughout our 1.5 miles of shoreline, there will be two viewing areas of interest. The fishing pier just outside of the nature center is good for those with mobility issues as it is close to parking and restrooms and the path has been cleared of snow for better accessibility. The other viewing area of the Conservancy Zone is just off property at a new city park along Elm Street. This area has recently been opened up to the public and gives a wonderful panoramic view of the islands area and has been a popular feeding area in the past.
